Oil painting on canvas depicting The Flagellation of Christ, sometimes known as Christ at the Column or the Scourging at the Pillar, a scene from the Passion of Jesus frequently shown in Christian art.

The canvas has already been intervened, having been replaced in the frame and “stretched”, as well as its surface cleaned of dirt and refreshed. The frame was restored and purged of any remaining pests, and some of the small crosspieces that consolidated the corners of the frame were kept, as well as the original nails.
